When necessary, the board may call an Extraordinary General Meeting with a specific agenda.

Throughout the year, NPSPD attends a number of conferences in order to fulfil its mission of empowering parent advocacy at all levels, both locally and internationally. Attending conferences also allows us to stay up-to-date with the latest knowledge and best practices in the disability sector.

As part of our mission to support and educate parents, we regularly organise workshops in order for parents to also become advocates.

These workshops cover various topics and provide parents with the necessary tools and knowledge to effectively advocate for their children's needs in all aspects of their lives, from birth through adulthood. During these workshops we also offer person-minding on site.

On the 30th of Novemeber 2023 NPSPD celebrated with our members and guests the end of a year long project which consisted of:

  • Brand New Look: We’ve unveiled our vibrant new logo and website, symbolizing our commitment to dynamic and responsive parenting support.

  • Empowering Workshops: Our series of workshops have been a resounding success, providing parents with the tools and knowledge to nurture and empower their families.

  • Inclusive Support for All: Most importantly, a new website that outlines resources and benefits specifically tailored for persons with disabilities and their families.

This project has been funded through the Voluntary Organisations Project Scheme managed by the Malta Council for the Voluntary Sector supported by the Ministry for Inclusion, Voluntary Organisations and Consumer Rights (MIVC).
